Field Planting Exercise

Field Planting exercise can be carried out through out the year.

However, the twin months of July and August are considered to be most suitable for any kinda of transplanting, re-plantating, repotting exercise & for growing n developing a hedge etc.

Because of the monsoonal cloud cover and rains the temperature is comparatively lower, while the humidity in the air and mositure in the soil is a notch higher, during these two months.

With the weather conditions being conducive, the probability of a plant surviving (after a transplant) is much higher than when the same exercise is carried out during any other calendar months.

Here’s a glimpse of one such Field Planting exercise :~

Material Required:
Plant (Crape Mrytle – which bears White / Pink / Lilac flowers)

A Watering Can
Trowel

Five Step Procedure:

1 Choose a plant which needs to be planted .

2. Dig out a Pit, keeping in mind the size of the plant.

3. Use the watering can to fill the pit with water.

4. Get the Plant and place it in the centre of the Pit.

5. Cover the Pit with some loose Mud.

Care:

Check on the plant from time to time for the next few days

& water it in case of a prolonged dry spell.

Happy Planting!

Floral Firework

Just the other evening, as I sat in the garden, silently admiring this lonesome flower, from a distance, I couldn’t help but marvel at the spectacular spread of its inflorescence in full bloom. The slender n sleek vibrant reds with their delicate yellow tips reminded me of some kinda of Luminous Epoch.

Rather, a Floral Firework akin to the Firework we usually witness especially during the festival of Diwali….. Wherein, the fiery sparkles whiz through the stillness, the darkness of the night, instantly illuminating the otherwise moonless sky high above. Descending down like a shower, they radiate with an aura of dancing colours, before finally vanishing into thin air.

Now, I just had to capture the wholesome beauty and scintillating feel of the moment in a few words and some vivid shots of a Floral Firework, brought alive with this flower in bloom and share the same here on my blog.

Onset of Monsoon….

Come July, and the sky transforms itself into a LIVE celestial playground, for the marching monsoon clouds n a shifting sun.

It’s a visual feast for the eyes to silently observe a sea of mist laden clouds, their changing formations… as they hover over head, even before they start to unburden their substantially heavy water-y load.

The sky itself, begins to radiate n reflect a LIFE of it own, akin to a panoramic 3D TV-Screen, conjuring fresh new images, every splitting second, in vivid shades, shapes n sizes.

A touch of Gold here, shades of Blue there…..Like a painter at work, dexterously, splashing color after colour, shade after shade, tone after tone on a vast, blank blue canvas, creating one of the most

Magically, Miraculously, Magnificently Marvelous Moment!

Thought of sharing one such MMMM moment as seen from our house yesterday evening, now captured n framed for all times to come….

Wishing everyone a Splashing n Showering Monsoon Season ahead….
