Portulaca or moss rose, is a popular drought-tolerant annual. Plants are low-growing spreaders with thick succulent stems and vibrant, cup-shaped flowers. Flowers come in a wide range of colors.
We have lots n lots of these BRIGHT coloured Portulaca flowers blooming in our Garden, adding a dash of Yellow, Orange, Fuschia, Baby Pink, and yes Vibrant Red. North Indian summers are usually hot with the mercury soaring to as high as 45 degrees Celsius n more. Most Garden's bear a blanched look, bereft of seasonal Flowers except the Sunflowers, the Portulaca's n a few more like Crepe myrtle, Bougains etc at this time of the year. Nonetheless,

Hi, Radhika! I like your choice for Noel's meme. It's beautiful! I have it growing in my front island where the hot afternoon sun beats mercilessly. The moss rose takes it all in stride...loves it actually! The blooms are really striking, too. Nice post!
