This year, the Monsoon season has been rather disappointing, in this part of the world.....
.
.
However, after a prolonged dry spell through July n August, the Rain Gods… finally did decide to shower their bountiful water-y blessing on us, sometime early Sept.
And so, it rained n it rained n it rained some more…. enough to waterlog the yards, so that I could have a field time capturing the reflection of ‘my muse’ on water….a Checkered fencing, some bark n leaves, doors, flora-fountain, a distant Palm Tree, a Car parked in the vicinity, Bldg n Play ground…. ‘N’ lots more…..
It has taken me a while… to sort out the pictures, beautify n enhance a select few with borders n all and then finally compile them together into this REFLECTIVE b-log.

It is only in still water that we can see’

I am glad, it rained there. The monsoon was disappointing at our side as well. And we are still hoping for rain.
I didnt think I could get so envious of someone! I wish it was raining here too. Lucky you!
And you got some lovely photos too. Good for you!
And I love the quote.
Hey, there is so much water everywhere, it looks as though there are many giant mirrors on the ground. I makes me think of those days when kids come out to play in the puddles of water after the rain, spashing and swimming, I think they really enjoyed the rain.
@ Muhammad ~ Yeh, I am glad that we did get some respite from the scorching summer….Hope it rains at your end too.
@ Sunita ~ LOL….Don’t be, coz while the rains were good for us, I can’t even begin to tell you how the long standing water (after the rains) damaged all the balsam seedlings :( Anyways....we are just thankful that it rained like it did…. bringing in some much needed respite. Hmmmm... I too loved the quote....Thx for appreciating!
@ Autumn Belle…. Ya… you are rt…. There is water, water every where….which made it look like rain water harvesting or something…akin to the way you put in…. Giant mirrors on the ground.
Me too…whenever, I come across a puddle of water I too think of, little kids n how they love to splash around, swim n even play with colourful paper boats. Whoa! Can’t resist a cuppa of steaming hot tea n some Pakoda’s (Fried Veges) along with it :) :)
Glad the rains finally came for you. Now to get the sogginess out of everything. Enjoy your puddles.
Rahika,
So beautiful, these relfection photos. And I like the poem as well. Your blog is nice to visit. I will stop by again soon!
Rosey
Hey Marry Dalle, It did take us a while to get the sogginess out of everything... specially the water in the water, had to be pumped out with the help of a motor :):)
Welcome Rosey, I am glad you liked my blog. Would love to see you around more often....Thx for stopping by n the comment.
We had monsoon-like rains here in spring and summer for the first time in years. The aquifer is still not up to previous leverls, but we're grateful for every drop.
Welcome Nell...
Its been raining here as well, even today as I write.....Though its well past the Monsoon season for us. It s actually time to plant veges/plants etc in the fields n hence its definitely not the 'best of time' to receive too much of rains (which could damage the plants instead) yet we too are grateful for every drop!
So lovely to have rain ,even if it is late! Beautiful captures!
All nice shots--I like the "wavy" car reflection. Mickie :)
Nice set of reflection pictures... What I really like about them is the angle you chose for each one : it makes them quite difficult to read and so very unique... Thanks for the sharing !
