I enjoyed viewing your experience through your photos. I am not sure what part I enjoyed more...the cattle or the bazaar.

Hey Shailaja, I am glad you could enjoy a typical Village *Mandi* through these pictures. The pictures do try and capture the essence of it all with the cattle , the makeshift Bazaar, and the moods of the villagers! I had a rewarding experience just by being there in person :):)

The cows on parade must be worth a lot of money. That's what we call 'cash cows'. The mango looks delicious too.

@ Autumn Belle.... LOLz t your comment. Indeed 'CASH COWS'... The villagers thrive on this traditional system of gathering at the weekly mandi along with their cattle for exchange @ buy n sell. I enjoyed being part of the gathering as i got to witness the proceedings first hand. It was quite intersting!
