My Name is RED!

Poinsettia's:
They each, more or less, look like an X- Copy of the other .
- Isn't it???

Some in pastel hues.....

Some more Variegated Varieties....
Showing subtle differences and Unique shading patterns...

 I Love the Reds.....
From EverGreen Tree

Though its a Wordless Wednesday post, I would like to supplement it with a befitting quote by E.E. Cummings....
"The hardest thing is to be yourself in a world that is trying its best, day n night, to make you like everyone else."

oh! Radhika, just love them... love to fill the whole house with a mix of all the creams ... peachy-pinks ... reds ... and its Christmas time.Especially love the hybrids that are flowering while plant is still small. The older ones my dad used to grow ... used to grow all tall and gangly after some growth... and then the annual trims and the whole nine yards ... But they are gorgeous... loved your post.

Hi Rajee, yes you are so right, the colours n plants do remind of the holidays n Christmas time. The dwarf variates are better, while the tall ones get all tangly, gangly n droopy.
Nonetheless, they are beautiful n Vibrant n so full of life n colours - peachy pink n luscious REDS! Glad you loved the post.

Those are very beautiful poinsetias, but they seem to be late for Christmas. They are our Christmas plants. While typing this i am looking at the carrot man below, you're naughty ha! yes it is beautiful, haha.

Hi Andrea.... You are right, they are Christmas plants. These photographs have been clicked by me during a Nursery Visit/Flower Show, sometime early December last yr. I merely posted them here in my blog this wk to add the colour RED inlieu of the Valentine Celebrations this wk :):)

Lol @ Naughty...The Carrot man reminds me of those mischievous childhood days. Funny n Playful. Isn't it?

Dear Radhika, How delighted I am to have discovered your weblog as a direct result of your becoming a 'Follower' of my site. Thank you so much.

I love the pictures you are showing here, but even more I appreciate the truth of what is said in your quotation from ee cummings, a poet I greatly admire.

Happy Valentine's Day!

If is kind of different when we see the poinsettias, they definitely mean Christmas to us.

The flowers on my blog post today that you asked about, were Primula, loving cool springs. A perennial bleeding heart, and a little pot of cat grass for Bootsie.

Here's to spring,

Jen

Hello Radhika. What beautiful Poinsettias. The pastels are very pretty and in fact I had a pink one this winter but I still like the red ones the best.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.

It is fun to see such full and lush Poinsettia's ... I do not usually like them here as they are all potted and look alike for Christmas... big florist push... all looking exactly the same... these on the other hand are quite lovely. I love the quote too!

Lovely poinsettias. The colour red is very auspicious for my Chinese New Year Celebrations, from 1st to 15th day.
